we meet again

my insomnia is back - like a ghost that just keeps haunting me. it's such a ridiculous part of my psychographic composition now that i'm not entirely sure if i don't actually need it in some way.

maybe a new bed...a new apartment...a new city...country...life.

recently i've been enjoying a pink renaissance.

absolutely inspired by my new benefit "bella bamba" blush & my vintage gooseberry pyrex refrigerator dishes.

days like this

i miss my best friend in london. i miss being in school. i miss being bone-y. i miss working in downtown san francisco (not that working at Cal, in Tilden no less, isn't lovely), i miss having a reason to visit my hometown. i miss having a fireplace. i miss having free time. i miss dance class.


i love the king's speech. i love my new coats. i love my new business cards. i love my new teapot. i love telling friend's embarrassing stories about myself (hopefully i make other feel less embarrassed and more amused by their own ridiculous missteps through my own silly & cringe-worthy shenanigans), i love finding new old bands, i love all my vintage pyrex finds.

don't put another dime in the jukebox

a bit maudlin...but true enough. actually not a bad thing really.

PS. there are no kindred spirits in my new workplace.
once i'm settled in it's going to be time to find a better fit elsewhere.
(why am i so capricious!!)

home! sweet (ish) home!

a full week with extended family... i'm spent.

i wanted it to be perfect - a full hollywood production (with great editing & magical score).

it wasn't. but it was real and occasionally fun ♥
